I.Em.U. in Action

The empowerment conference was absolutely beautiful and very powerful. The phenomenal women telling stories about their past and how they were able to overcome things in life to get to where they are today. It was very inspiring to me because I was able to relate to a lot of what was shared. Shaquina, the founder, is my best friend of over 25 years and I know firsthand some of the things in life she overcame, I was able to watch her grow. She encourages me to pray more, be consistent in my career, and to never give up! 

I look forward to the future of this organization and many more empowerment conferences to come. Sometimes we need to be reminded we are not alone.

Shaquina has dedicated her time and efforts to the betterment of others through her service to this country. So, it's natural that she has the desire to implement programs that cater to the total person, mind, body, and soul. As an innate connector, Shaquina bridges the gaps between voids and resources to ensure that everyone she encounters is able to function wholly and successfully. The work that she is doing in the community is necessary, and I am blessed to witness it and partner with her.

In 2019, I attended the first Empowerment Conference with my teenage daughter. This event reminded me to keep passing positive energy around to others. We witnessed team building exercises, participated in mental health exercises, and helpful resources to aid you in self-improvement. 

Incredible guest speakers to keep you uplifted and motivated. The venue was stunning with beautiful décor throughout and swag bags, let's not forget about the food! Can't forget to feed the soul. I would recommend the conference to anyone, an unforgettable experience.
